100% Pure Air!
We spend a significant part of our lives indoors because of the weather and our lifestyle. Breathing high-quality air ensures that our blood gets a lot of oxygen and contributes to our overall well-being as well as to our intellectual and physical performance. A high-performance filtration system limits virus and bacteria travel through various environments. Just imagine always being able to breathe air that is as fresh as what you would take in during a stroll in the wilderness... energizing and revitalizing!
Surrounding air quality is one of the major components in qualifying for the WELL certification. That characteristic was the subject of much focus when Humaniti was designed. For example, the air is filtered for each individual apartment. You will never breathe air, even post-filtered air, coming from another apartment. With such a technique, not only is air fresh and odour-free, but an additional barrier against the transmission of viruses and bacteria is also created.
Ventilation systems have been designed and built to conform to recognized medical standards through the elimination of contaminants, air purification and exceptional preventative measures. In addition to systems which must be both effective and big enough to filter the air within it, a building aspiring to the WELL certification must comply with many other criteria which affect the quality of what we breathe. Among these, we may find a smoking ban throughout the building, including balconies, strict ventilation duct maintenance and cleaning protocols or adequate humidity monitoring.
In the case of Humaniti, we have worked with experts to ensure that you will have pure and fresh air with every breath.
Light in Harmony with Your Rhythm
Light significantly affects our energy levels, our mood and our biological clock. The amount and quality of light to which we are exposed daily have a major role to play in how happy we are, how well we sleep and how quickly we think.
Among other things, the WELL certification requires that the light fixtures be chosen based on their efficiency and their ability to reduce glare. The building must also be designed to provide appropriate light exposure so that the circadian rhythm (or 24-hour biological cycle) is aligned with the night/day cycle. Finally, it must integrate natural lighting into the structure’s interior
Clear Water for All!
We all know how important water is to good health. The WELL certification requires not only that a building provide high-quality water but also that access to this water be environmentally friendly.
To qualify for the WELL certification, Humaniti has implemented customized filtration techniques as well as a strict system of tests to ensure that the drinking water complies with the required contaminant and taste levels.
The only water fountains permitted in WELL certified properties are those that allow the use of refillable bottles.
